About The Toronto Cheder

The Toronto Cheder was founded in 1995 by a group of dedicated parents with a goal to provide excellent Jewish and secular education for each child. It has since become a model for Jewish education in Toronto. Currently the Cheder is located at 3995 Bathurst Street in the Clanton Park neighborhood. Under the able leadership of our distinguished Principal - Rabbi D. Engel, Assistant Principal - Rabbi D. Gopin and English Principal - Mrs. B. Ehrentreu, as well as our devoted Board of Directors, the Cheder's enrollment has grown exponentially.
With over 360 students, the Cheder currently has parallel classes from Senior Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Our entire educational staff is committed to fostering the innate talents and abilities within every student, and to developing in them a true love for Hashem and His Torah.
