Over 75 years ago Yeshiva Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch opened its doors. The school's aim, as promulgated by its founder, Rav Dr. Joseph Breuer, זצ"ל, was to educate youngsters in the spirit of TORAH IM DERECH ERETZ, the principle that puts all of life's knowledge under the umbrella of Torah.
Yeshiva Rabbi S.R. Hirsch has faithfully carried out its founder's direction and has succeeded in educating thousands of students who are upright citizens in many varied fields of endeavor throughout the world. Whether they ultimately become Roshei Yeshiva or professionals, Rebbeim or lay leaders, homemakers or community activists, the Torah Im Derech Eretz
philosophy provides them with the guidelines for a Torah-true life in all
circumstances. The Yeshiva attracts students looking for a quality education from all five boroughs of New York City, Westchester, Rockland, Bergen and Passaic counties, as well as from other communities outside the Tri-State area.
