For 33 years, Tashbar of Lakewood has been singularly focused on its mission: cultivating a lifelong love and connection to Torah in each and every talmid. Founded by Rabbi Meir Hertz Shlita in 1991, Tashbar's formula was simple yet visionary - to transmit Torah with optimal clarity and sweetness, in the talmid's spoken language, while instilling in talmidim the splendor of Torah and the mesorah of Chachmei Yisroel. This vision called for compiling a group of outstanding mechanchim who would translate it into reality, as well as facilitating the optimal physical environment and resources where this vision would thrive..Tashbar's hundreds of outstanding Alumni are a resounding testimony to the Siyata Dishmaya this endeavor has experienced to date.

Tashbar's esteemed Menahalim and exceptional and dedicated Rabbeim, live that mission every day. As Talmidei Chachomim of the highest caliber, they serve as an inspiring personal example, embracing their charge with enthusiasm and determination. With an emphasis on havana and making the learning attainable to each talmid at his level,they strive to reach every talmid, every day. Another pillar of Tashbar's chinuch is the emphasis on developing ashleimus in avodas Hashem and middos tovos. Here again, the personal example of Tashbar's mechanchim, and joyous atmosphere of ne'imus hamiddos,combine to elevate each talmid to reach his full potential as a true BenTorah and future Talmid Chochom. Indeed, Tashbar graduates are much sought after by top mesivtas, both for their level of learning as well as their all-around development as Bnei Torah.
Tashbar's younger division is overseen by Rabbi Yaakov Meir Heller, a meticulous and compassionate Menahel, who leaves no stone unturned in his drive to ensure that every talmid and Rebbi is given the tools he needs to succeed.
In the middle division, Tashbar's veteran Menahel, Rabbi Mordechai Zions, renowned for his tireless devotion, enthusiasm, and warmth, continues his decades of success in molding thousands of young Bnei Torah.
The mechina division is led by Rabbi Yaakov Bogart, a Talmud Chochom of note and twenty-year veteran mechanech, with the unique ability to guide boys in navigating their formative years, kindling a life long love for Torah learning and living.
Tashbar's chinuch is rounded out by our superb General Studies department which provideseachstudent the academic and personal skills needed to excel as a Ben Torah in today's world. The upper grades are overseen by our highly acclaimed Principal Rabbi Ari Pollack, along with Tashbar's very own multi-talented 4th grade Rebbi, Rabbi Yussie Gewirtz, as assistant Principal. Our younger grades Principal, Mrs. Chani Baumol, brings her decades of educational experience and love of children to Tashbar every day. Our skilled and devoted teachers empower their students to truly succeed in building the life skills necessary for their future.
We are fortunate to have Rabbi Avrohom Fried as our executive director. In addition to his proficiency and engaging personality, Reb Avrohom brings his dedication to both the ruchnius and gashmius of everytalmid, ensuring that Tashbar's talmidim, Rabbeim, and staff have the resources they need to succeed in their avodas hakodesh.
With Rabbi Meir Hertz's retirement as Dean last year, he tasked his son Rabbi Dovid Hertzwith leading the school. A talented and beloved 8th grade Rebbi, Reb Dovid has gained a reputation as a mechanech with a passion for bringing out the best in talmidim. Working together with the Menahalim, General studies department, and administrative staff, he brings a new energy to Tashbar, which will b'ezras Hashem enable it to reach ever-greater heights in cultivating the next generation of Bnei Torah.
The backbone of Tashbar's operation and the secret to its success, isits dedicated parent body. This dedication expresses itself in thevalues they instill in their children at home, as well as partnering with the Rabbeim and yeshiva in the ongoing growth of the talmid. In addition, Tashbar's parents consistently go above and beyond in supporting Tashbar's mission in an untold number of ways. Tashbar is truly blessed to partner with a group of such idealistic and devoted parents.
