Chazal teach us that every Yid and all of us collectively, make up a Sefer Torah. The Sefer Torah is made up of many parshiyos, some are long and some are short. Some are easier, and others are very difficult to truly comprehend. The lifetime of our dear and unforgettable chaver ר' יהושע ז"ל בן להבלחט"א ר' אליהו שליט"א, R' Shuey Englard z"l, appeared to be quite short and we are still trying to make sense of how he was taken from us so soon. Yet there is one thing which all who knew R' Shuey can testify about him, his entire essence and lifelong mission was infused and saturated with his love and desire to learn Torah, making him and Torah one. We may not yet understand his parsha, but we know and believe that the נותן התורה will one day soon reveal Himself and teach us how to understand all of His Torah, and how it was all a reflection of His great love for Shuey and for us.
As a reflection of the living Sefer Torah he represented, Shuey's family, chaveirim, and fellow mispalelim at Khal Rayim Ahuvim D'Arlington are embarking on a project to write a Sefer Torah for the Shul לעילוי נשמתו הטהרה. It would be an appropriate זכות for all of his friends and neighbors to take part in this undertaking, so all of us can be represented in this Sefer Torah, bringing a נחמה to his dear family, and a eternal עלייה to the נשמה of ר' יהושע ז"ל בל להבלחט"א ר' אליהו שליט"א.
Please help us turn this into a reality. Any outstanding funds remaining at the conclusion of this project will be distributed to Tzedaka by the Rov Shlit"a and Mrs. Englard.
