Supporting Widows and Orphans.

This charity fund was established ten years ago in memory of my grandmother, Alice Rishty A"H, and her sisters.

In the 1920s and 1930s, my grandmother was one of six sisters who grew up in an orphanage called the "Shield of David". Thanks to the tremendous support from the Jewish community, these girls overcame all odds, and each went on to build families that are now the heart & soul of our community today.

Each year, we raise funds that are distributed directly to widowed and orphaned families in need of financial assistance, especially as the holidays of Purim and Pesach approach.

Under the guidance of our community's rabbis, 100% of the proceeds are allocated directly to verified families in need.
