Eli A’h was a very happy baby; he would smile all the time. We know that true happiness comes from Torah, so that’s why my wife Gila and I decided to start a fundraiser to donate a Torah in Eli’s memory to the minyan Shelanu on his first yahrtzeit because that’s how we can genuinely keep Eli alive, through Torah.
The reason Gila and I decided to keep Eli’s Torah in the Minyan Shelanu is that the rabbi is always there for us. Just to show everyone a glimpse of how much R Abadi is there for us, the day Eli was niftar when we were leaving the scene, we had nowhere to go. After all, it was too painful for us to go back to our house because all of Eli’s baby things were still there, so the rabbi, within 10 minutes, Found us a quiet place to stay and took care of all the details and arrangements for the kevurah and levaya because that’s the rabbi.
Even though our Eli A’h never physically got to be a part of the minyan Shelanu, he will be much more than that because his Sefer Torah will be in the Aaron Hakodesh at all times until Mashiach comes b’mheirah b’yamanu.
So I ask you all if you can please help us keep our son Eli alive in the most real way and help us build a place for Eli in the Minyan Shelanu by donating any amount you can. Thank you so much, and we truly appreciate it!
