For over 40 years, Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yaakov Yosef of Edison, led by Hagaon R' Yaakov Busel Zt'l and Hagaon R' Yosef Eichenstein יבלח”ט, took the mehalach halimud of the great European Yeshivos and adapted it so that every bochur could thrive. Upon R' Yaakov's petira, the yeshiva, its talmidim and alumni, are now charged with the mission of carrying on his legacy and mesorah. B"H, the yeshiva continues to flourish, growing in numbers, with a palpable ruach and hasmadah. One can feel the presence of Rav Yaakov's ruach of chashivus and enthusiasm permeating the Bais Hamedrash.
The talmidim, infused with their great Rebbi's mission and personal example, are striving to live up to his lofty standards.
Today, we are honored to begin writing a Sefer Torah in the Rosh Hayeshiva's zikaron, perpetuating his Mesorah.
