In 1998, Minyan Shelanu was born as a center for struggling teens who could not find their place in the local Lakewood community.
Founded by Rabbi Chaim Y. Abadi, "The Minyan" quickly evolved into a space of healing, love, acceptance and growth.
In the 25 years since, over 1000 boys and girls have passed through our doors.
Today, many of our teens are Torah scholars, business leaders, and - most importantly - happy, thriving adults.
In recent years, the Minyan's offerings have expanded to keep pace with our community's rapid growth. The cost of life-saving services like rehab and therapy have risen dramatically and we are straining to keep up with over $3 million in yearly expenses.
We provide daily programming, special events, Shabbatons, financial assistance, rehab, therapy, special services, boys and girls locations, and much more.
Minyan is family. And family is for life.
Our commitment is to be there for our kids no matter what.
Please join us in opening your heart and empowering these amazing children.
