Rabbi Dovid Schwartz, a Toronto native, is concluding eleven years with The Toronto Cheder family this year. He has taught Grade 6 general studies and served as the Cheder’s full-time substitute for Limudei Kodesh, stepping in on short notice to cover classes from Pre-1A through Grade 7. Each time, he met the challenge with care and skill. His general studies teaching was consistently creative and engaging, making each lesson fresh and accessible to all. Beyond the classroom, his keyboard became a familiar part of Cheder Simchas - he played for Bar Mitzvahs and brought the Ruach to the Sukkos Simchas Bais HaShoeva, Purim Mesiba, and Lag B’Omer Hadlaka, year after year. For all this and much more, we owe Rabbi and Mrs. Dovid and C. L. Schwartz tremendous HaKoras HaTov, and we are privileged to present them with the HaKoras HaTov Award.
