Kollel Ohr Shmuel
Each morning, as the world awakens in different corners of the globe, thousands of lomdei Torah open their seforim together. From large central Kollelim to smaller local branches, one shared commitment unites them: consistent, daily learning that never pauses. That learning begins at 6:00 in the morning, when the streets are quiet and the world is still asleep, but the kol Torah is already alive, steady and unwavering.
That is Kollel Ohr Shmuel.
With approximately 400 regular participants in its main Lutzk branch, alongside dozens of additional branches worldwide, Kollel Ohr Shmuel has grown into a true global movement of daily learning. In total, it includes over 70 branches and more than 3,000 regular participants. Some branches have 30 or 50 members, others close to 100. Different places, different sizes, one shared commitment.
Every morning, regardless of location or time zone, Torah is being learned. Together, this amounts to roughly 3,000 hours of Torah each day, over 15,000 hours each week, and close to 780,000 hours every year. Since its founding in Elul 2018 לע״נ הילד שמואל געליס ע״ה, more than 5.5 million hours of Torah have been learned through Kollel Ohr Shmuel.
Chanukah reminds us that even a small, steady light can grow and spread far beyond where it began. Kollel Ohr Shmuel reflects that same idea. Consistent daily learning, repeated thousands of times, creates a powerful and lasting light of Torah across the world.
Join in this tremendous zechus by supporting and strengthening Kollel Ohr Shmuel, and help keep the light burning.
