Here in the famed town of Torah & Teshuva in Southern Israel,
known for it's late trailblazing Mara D'Asra, Rav Shimshon Pincus zt'l,
the ruach of outreach and achrayus for our less fortunate brothers,
who were never privileged to receive a Torah education,
continues to flourish in the derech of Rav Shimshon zt'l.
As part of the P'eylim / Lev L'Achim nationwide Torah & Kiruv movement,
a network of more than 180 Evening Batei Medrash has been established where volunteer Kollel scholars give shiurim, lead groups or learn one-on-one with new beginners.
At Toldos Yosef in Ofakim, 20 yungeleit interact with 30 as-yet secular people and the kol Torah is tremendous.
Based on the success of this program all across Eretz Yisroel,
it is expected that all 30 of these late starters
will be Shomrei Shabbos and enroll their children in Torah schools
within the first five months after joining the learning
in an Evening Bait Medrash.
