Khal Bnei Torah (KBT) of Haverstraw was founded a few short years ago by a group of young pioneers who embarked on a mission of establishing a beautiful community in an ideal environment,on the outskirts of Monsey, NY, where families of Bnei Torah can flourish.
With a lot of Siyata D'Shmaya, the Haverstraw community now boasts close to 100 families and continues to grow rapidly. This growth includes many who were raised in Monsey and want to settle close to family in an affordable setting.
With daily and Shabbos minyanim, learning, shiurim, Avos U'Banim programs and so many other communal events KBT is a pillar of the community. Our current rented storefront is inadequate for the needs of our growing community and may soon no longer be available for use.
It is time for KBT to move to new quarters. A building suitable to convert into a respectable shul has been located and we are currently in contract for purchase.
Helping Hand 4 Haverstraw is an ambitious campaign undertaken by the members of KBT to raise the necessary $500,000 needed to purchase and renovate our new Shul and elevate the community in a monumental way.
