YSCC: Stepping into a Vibrant Future - Invest in Our Community
The Young Sephardic Community Center (YSCC) is embarking on an exciting new chapter! We're transforming into a thriving Kehilla, a place where all ages can connect, learn, and celebrate their Sephardic heritage.
Empowering the Next Generation:
◦ We're proud to be the first Bet Knesset to offer a CIT (Counsellor in Training) program for our Bat Mitzvah girls, nurturing future leaders and madrichot.
◦ Our brand new Teen Minyan joins our established youth programs, ensuring vibrant Shabbat and Chag experiences for all ages.
◦ YSCC's core value includes educating our children in the rich traditions and culture of Sepharadic Halakha and Minhag.
A Center for Lifelong Learning:
◦ YSCC offers a diverse range of learning opportunities, from daily Gemara and Chassidut shiurim to weekly adult education classes and Halakha discussions.
◦ We foster a sense of community through engaging events like our Birkhat Hailanot picnic, Chanukah Chesed project, renowned Shabbatons, and weekly Kiddushim and Farbrengens.
Investing in Our People:
◦ To support our growth, we've assembled a dedicated team of Rabbis and educators.
◦ Rabbi Y Boruch Sufrin, our visionary Senior Rabbi, leads with inspiring derashot, shiurim, lectures, and personal connections.
◦ Rabbi Yossie Cohen, our new Associate Rabbi, brings expertise in Sephardic nusach, keriah, and engaging programs for Young Couples and all ages.
◦ Rabbi Menachem Solomon, our Teen Minyan Rebbe and Advisor, brings extensive experience in youth leadership and NCSY.
◦ Mrs. Tehilla Parnes, our CIT leader, and Morah Shalicha from Israel brings a wealth of experience running CIT programs.
◦ Rabbi Morris Israel, our long-standing Baal Koreh, continues to be a pillar of our Kehilla.
Together, We Can Create a Brighter Future:
The YSCC is poised to be a dynamic center for the entire community. With your investment, we can ensure a vibrant future for our children and a place of connection for all.
