A brilliant talmid chochom, he had a comprehensive knowledge of so many areas of Torah, many of them eclectic and historical. He had close relationships with gedolim from across the spectrum including the Pnei Menachem of Gur, Harav Shneur Kotler, Harav Elya Svei and others.
He was funny, often very funny. He had a sparkling sense of humor, and always enjoyed sharing a good joke. Above all, he loved people. He loved being with people, shmuessing and making them smile. Perhaps the role he held most dear was being the adopted Zaidy and Uncle to countless children who reveled in his warmth.
Yossel did not have any children of his own, however he left his extended family and untold numbers of beloved friends to continue his legacy.
Please join us in making Reb Yossel's Sefer Torah a reality.
