This ride is very personal for me.

My wife Vered runs the boys program at the Special Children’s Center Farm, and through her I’ve had the privilege of getting to know many of the boys there. These are children with profound challenges, but when you spend time with them you quickly realize something — they bring more joy to the room than anyone else.

The photo on this page is from a birthday party the boys made for us. Our birthdays are one day apart, and they insisted on celebrating together. The excitement on their faces, the pride they had in putting it together, and the hugs we got that day is something Vered and I will never forget.

These boys fight battles every day that most of us will never have to face. Yet they greet you with smiles that can melt your heart.

The Special Children’s Center gives them something incredibly important — a place where they are understood, cared for, and given every opportunity to grow and thrive.

When I ride, I’ll be thinking about those boys.
