Rabbi Dov Ber Weisman z"l was a rare and special person. He was deeply loved and admired, and he made a strong and lasting impact on so many of us who had the privilege to know him.
He was refreshingly honest and sincere, never demanding of others what he didn't demand of himself.
He passionately prioritized Torah learning and avodas Hashem, yet somehow always managed to find time for fun and recreation with the bnei hayeshiva who so enjoyed his company.
Rav Dov Ber had many yesurim in his life, which others might have been overwhelmed by, yet he accepted them with love and taught by example how to find happiness in all circumstances.
Unfortunately, he was never blessed with children of his own to carry on his legacy.
Our goal is to write and dedicate this Sefer Torah to that legacy, honoring the priorities he taught us and continuing those zechuyos for his neshama.
Every time the Sefer Torah is used, that connection would reawaken, and his legacy will be carried on through those of us who benefitted from him.
