Rabbi Elishai Kohananoo is a remarkable Menahel and leader who, despite being pulled in countless directions every day, continually reaches higher in his commitment to Torah and his community. As the Menahel of Ohr Haemet, he carries an immense responsibility, yet he also serves as the Rav of the 601 Minyan at the Thornhill Kollel, delivering shiurim both during the week and on Shabbos. Behind his unwavering dedication stands his wife, whose steadfast support enables him to give so much. Always striving for growth in Torah, Rabbi Kohananoo exemplifies tireless devotion. In recognition of this, we are privileged to honor Rabbi and Mrs. Elishai and Orlie Kohananoo with the Harbatzas Torah Award. 

We wish Rabbi Kohananoo tremendous hatzlacha as he embarks on his exciting new endeavor next year in founding the Zucker Jewish Academy of Toronto, and may he continue to inspire all those around him.
