Rachel and Aaron Kopstick truly are the Parents of the Year. As a couple who believes in getting involved, the Kopsticks have been instrumental in Naaleh's success. Rachel, as an integral part of our Naaleh Parent Council, and our current co-president, is someone we can count on to have her finger on the pulse and serve as a wonderful liaison between the parent body and school administration. With her perpetual smile, Rachel is a constant presence at our open houses and an active volunteer who helps with our recruitment. As CFO of MORRE-TEC Industries Inc, Aaron is able to use his business acumen to help advise the board and our business office in his position as a member of our Board of Directors, and continues to help ensure our fiscal stability.
Rachel and Aaron live in Bergenfield, NJ and are the proud parents of Yitzy and beloved Naaleh educator Sheva, Ezra, Naaleh Senior Atara, Shua, and Abie. With over two decades of experience, Rachel is a beloved first grade teacher and has taught and inspired hundreds of children. As dedicated members of their community, Rachel and Aaron have actively been involved in RYNJ, MTA, and their shul, Congregation Ohr HaTorah.
Please join us in thanking Rachel and Aaron Kopstick for their service to our school by honoring them with Parents of the Year.
Faculty Recognition Renee Schneier
Naaleh is thrilled to honor Renee Schneier, one of our inaugural faculty members, as our faculty honoree. Renee Schneier has been one of the backbones of our faculty and has developed Naaleh's Studio Art curriculum. Renee focuses on piquing her students' interest in art and aesthetics while expanding their exposure to culture and Jewish history through the prism of art. She fosters a collaborative environment which encourages creativity in the classroom. Renee is currently creating a curriculum for accreditation for the Advanced Placement 2D Design Course. In addition to teaching, Renee enthusiastically lends her artistic vision to enhance school wide activities and events, including running the annual paint night for prospective students; spearheading an after school painting club; designing props and scenery for the Nagilah performance; creating decor for Shabbatons and the annual School Dinner, and designing the beautiful signage for Naaleh's participation in the Salute to Israel Parade.
Renee is involved with numerous chesed organizations. She created and runs the Teaneck Bat Mitzvah Gown Gemach out of her home, delivers packages for JFS, volunteers for the Bnai Yeshurun Chesed Committee, and is affiliated with the organization Sister to Sister.
Renee holds a joint degree in Advertising Design from Stern College and The Fashion Institute of Technology, as well as an additional degree in Textile and Surface Design from FIT. In addition to offering private art lessons, Renee taught at Magen David Yeshiva, Yachad, Lubavitch on the Palisades, and Camp Dina. Prior to teaching, Renee was a children's wear, accessories, and textile designer for a number of companies. Renee has four children, Ezra & Liat, Eitan & Jordana, Yonah, and Tsilya, and lives in Teaneck with her husband, Murray, a real estate partner at Belkin, Burden, Goldman LLP.
Naaleh High School for Girls is proud to honor Renee Schneier with the Faculty Recognition Award.
Guests of Honor Mirlana & Aryeh Morris
Giving, enthusiastic, and dependable are just a few ways to describe our Guests of Honor, Aryeh and Mirlana Morris. Since Naaleh's inception, Aryeh and Mirlana have been one of our most devoted couples, who believed in our vision and found no task to be too small or too unimportant for them to do to help our school. As the Chief Financial Officer of Midgal Partners and an active member of our Board of Directors, Aryeh used his expertise to set up our financial infrastructure, including securing much needed funds during the Covid-19 pandemic, to help ensure our stability and make sure we are able to operate independently. Mirlana, in her modest and unassuming manner, has been a chief advocate for our school by being an active volunteer at our open houses and helping out with recruitment. In her capacity as the Chief Operating Officer of Family and Caring Healthcare Systems, Mirlana has helped continue our mission of making chesed one of the priorities of our school, by having our students visit her nursing homes and serving as a wonderful role model.
Aryeh and Mirlana, who live in Bergenfield, NJ, are the proud parents of Donny (Z"L), Akiva, and current Naaleh junior Gabriella. They are active members of the Bergenfield community by being on the board of their shul, Congregation Beth Abraham, and being involved in the Chevra Kadisha and also volunteered for Tomchei Shabbos. Most notably, Mirlana is a sought after speaker on the topic of Emunah.
We thank Aryeh and Mirlana Morris for their incredible service and are thrilled to honor them as the Guests of Honor.
Kesser Shem Tov Award Drs. Lisa & Barry Schanzer
We are thrilled to honor Drs. Lisa and Barry Schanzer with the Kesser Shem Tov Award. As true trailblazers, their daughter Anna was our first Naaleh student from Central New Jersey. In true Schanzer fashion, they have been our cheerleaders and staunchest supporters from day one. Whether it is opening their home for a parlor meeting, even during the week of their son's aufruf, or being a member on the PTA, Lisa and Barry will do anything to ensure our institution is successful.
Lisa and Barry, who live in Edison, NJ, are the proud parents of Natan, Doni & Shira, Sophie, and current Naaleh senior Anna. As pillars of their community, their dedication to their local shul, Congregation Ohr Torah, and to RPRY knows no bounds. As medical professionals, Barry as an ophthalmologist and Lisa as a pediatrician, they are able to selflessly dedicate themselves to others which is apparent in their constant support of our school.
We thank Lisa and Barry Schanzer for all that they have done for Naaleh, and are proud to honor them with the Kesser Shem Tov Award.
