Yossi was an individual who had his finger on the pulse of Klal Yisrael. He did not stop thinking about the Klal, working for the Klal, and doing whatever was possible to help a fellow Yid. Numerous people were the recipients of his kindness. He served as an example to multitudes who looked up to him as a person who was one of the greatest examples of true Ahavas Yisrael. Every mitzvah that he did, he performed in a way which was mehadrin. His generous heart was open to all. There were people who would call him on the telephone just to hear the very special way in which he would greet them.
He and his Eishes Chayil, L'havadil bein Chaim L'Chaim, were Moser Nefesh to give their children the very best chinuch. Now, the seven children at home have been left without a father. A father who they adored and respected and relied upon. At this point, it is very difficult for the family to continue, never imagining the day would come when they would be without him. Yossi had unfortunately been ill for the past year, and was not able to work to his full capacity, and then, when the illness returned in full force, the bills piled up and the family was left without a means of supporting themselves.
Yossi never lived for himself, only to help others, he never, ever asked for repayment. Now, it is our turn to show Yossi how much we care. Now, we realize that there was a tzaddik who lived in our times, disguised as an ordinary, mortal man.
