Kollel Lomdei Shas opened thirteen years ago in Chestnut Ridge, in the southeast corner of the Monsey community. The kollel's מהלך הלימוד is to learn מסכתות, start to finish, in depth and להלכה, culminating every מסכתא with a grand סיום. The kollel has recently completed מסכת בבא מציעא, its tenth מסכתא, and celebrated with a memorable סיום. The serious, high caliber yungerleit learning in this manner, have בסייעתא דשמיא produced enormous פירות. Many of the yungerleit have moved on to become ,רביים, פוסקים, רבנים, ראשי כולל, and מחברי ספרים. Each additional yungerman, who has the opportunity to learn with this דרך הלימוד, becomes another בן תורה set on the path to reach his potential as a true תלמיד חכם of the highest order.

Nine years ago, Kollel Lomdei Shas purchased a property in the Dexter Park neighborhood. When the kollel went to contract, the area was entirely void of an Orthodox Kehilla. Ever since, the community has flourished. Presently, nearly four hundred families reside in Dexter Park. The Bais Medrash has become a community center of Torah and Tefilla and is described as an אכסניא של תורה- a Fortress of Torah. It serves as home to three kollelim, two night kollelim and a yeshiva. Hundreds learn and daven there every day בקביעות and numerous community members use the Bais Medrash to further their עמלות and קנינים בתורה.


We have outgrown our current accommodations!

Many more yungerleit wish to join these chaburahs and more chaburahs wait to call this campus home. It has tremendous potential for phenomenal growth. One thing prevents our growth- a severe lack of space.

בסייעתא דשמיא, a construction project began in Jan 2022. Plans include doubling the size of the current Bais Medrash, adding an אוצר הספרים, and constructing a new two-thousand-square-foot Bais Medrash and a dining room. Additionally, the exterior of the building will be renovated, befitting such a מקום קדוש, a new two-way entry and exit road will be built, and ample parking spaces added.

The structure has been erected. Hvac, plumbing, and electrical rough in have been installed.
Now we need to finish the job!

A fundraising campaign has been launched to bring this project to completion. Please open your hearts and seize the opportunity to acquire an eternal part of this Torah fortress by enabling its expansion and continuity.
