Me with Rabbi And Mrs. Greenwald at my camp Bas Mitzvah!

Camp Sternberg did more than just change my life. It created the very person I am today.

Camp gave me the opportunity to leave behind the stuffy confines of city limits and to explore who I truly wanted to be. Camp taught me how to make friends, how to listen, how to trust and how to lead. I learned to appreciate Hashem's magnificent world and to find His greatness in each leaf and salamander.

And From Rabbi Greenwald himself I learned how to empower. Who can forget his tiny platform that brought hundreds of campers together? He taught us that each camper has the answers within her, that she can problem solve, and that she dig deep down until she finds the strength to conquer worlds.

Help me give another girl that chance to become.

Changing Lives-The Rabbi Ronnie Greenwald Scholarship Foundation

I am participating in Hike2Help, as a Zechus for Rabbi Greenwald ZTL. Raising money for Camp Scholarships was a cause very dear to his heart and he spent hours tirelessly working to collect sufficient funds for a needy child to go to camp. I know from my personal experience that camp can be a life changer, as I was fortunate to have it be so for me. I believe that I would not be the person I am today without summers in Camp Sternberg, and Rabbi Greenwald's vision, and for that I have tremendous gratitude.

This summer, I will be participating in an outdoor adventure-hiking and caving for the worthy cause of sending a girl to overnight camp. The hiking and caving won't be easy, but neither is life for many children who are struggling with academic or social difficulties, a parent who is ill, divorced, financial difficulty...

The girls who are awarded hike2help scholarships are dealing with daily tribulations that no one should have to go through. Some of them deal with the realities of disease in a family member on a daily basis. Some live in a one parent home that is under a lot of stress due to financial and other issues. Some are coping with the fallout of addiction of family members and the attendant dysfunction that it brings. These children need the break that summer camp provides, and the chance to laugh, run and play like "normal" children. They need a reprieve from a challenging home situation, to restore their spirits and renew their strength to persevere!

My objective is to raise at least $2400 by then and I hope you will help me reach this goal. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.

Thank you for supporting me and doing so, helping children have a meaningful summer.
