I spent 10 years in Camp Sternberg. Each year I learned, grew, and had fun just being a kid. In those 10 years I went through some of the hardest parts of my life, and each year my summers in camp were my light at the end of the tunnel. I knew that one month each year I'd be able to get away from everything and be myself in a supportive environment away from all stresses. I am forever grateful for that.
The kids that Hike2Help supports are kids going through exponentially more difficult things that what I dealt with, and for that, they need camp exponentially more.?
This summer, I will be participating in the Hike2Help hiking and canoeing event in an effort to raise funds for the Rabbi Ronnie Greenwald Camp Scholarship Fund. This fund helps girls from families in crisis, who due to financial constraints cannot afford to attend camp, which is a much needed respite from a painful reality. The Ronnie Greenwald Camp Scholarship Fund gives them the opportunity to attend camp and a chance to recharge while being supported and uplifted. Please help me make a difference in the lives of so many girls who would otherwise not have this opportunity!
