Fundraising Commitment

I understand that by participating in Hike 2 Help I am committing myself to raise a donation minimum of $1,000. If for any reason I am not able to meet the minimum requirement by race day I will be responsible for the difference which will be charged to my credit card on file. I understand that if for any reason I cannot participate in the hike, I am still responsible for raising the money, and that raising the money does not allow me to transfer participation in the hike to someone else.

I understand that by signing up as a "helper" for Hike2Help, I am NOT committing myself to raise a minimum donation amount. I understand that IF I raise over $350 I will be entitled to receive a Hike2Help sweatshirt but that I will NOT be participating in the hiking and caving event.

Waiver and Release

I wish to help raise funds to send children in difficult situations and cannot afford to go to  camp. I am aware of the possible inherent hazards. I am voluntarily participating in this event with knowledge of the dangers involved and I agree to accept all risks of injury or death.
               
I have assumed responsibility to raise the minimum fundraising requirement. I agree to collect funds from sponsors and individual donors for my participation in this event that will be donated to The Rabbi Ronnie Greenwald Hike2Help Camp Scholarship Fund. Any checks received will be made payable to Changing Lives-The Rabbi Ronnie Greenwald Scholarship Fund, with reference to my name and the HIKE2HELP event.
 
Approximately ten weeks before the hike2Help event. I am aware that if for any reason, I am not able to participate in the event I will still be committed to raising the fundraising minimum established for the event.
 
In consideration for being permitted to participate in this event to support the Camp Sternberg Scholarship Fund, I agree to assume all risks and to release, hold harmless and covenant not to sue the Changing Lives-The Rabbi Ronnie Greenwald Scholarship Fund, Camp Sternberg and Hike2Help event team members or directors, and any designated beneficiaries, sponsors, officials, participating clubs, communities, organizations, friends of the event, including the event medical sponsor, the medical director, and members of the medical and hiking or canoe team, and all other government or public entities from any claim, loss or liability that I may have arising out of my participation in and training for the event, including bodily injury, death or property damage, whether caused by negligence or carelessness of the releases or otherwise.
 
I intend by the Waiver and Release in advance, and to waive my rights and to discharge all the releases from all claims, losses, or liabilities for death, bodily injury or property damage that I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me, as a result of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the releases, from dangerous or defective property or equipment owned, maintained or controlled by them or because of the possible liability without fault. I understand and agree that the Waiver and Release is binding on my heirs, assigns and legal representatives.

I am physically capable of training for and completing this event. If I am aware of or under treatment for any physical infirmity, ailment or illness, my medical care provider knows of and has approved my training for and participation in this event. I will maintain personal health insurance while training for and participating in the event. I acknowledge that I, and I alone, am entirely responsible for my personal health and safety, and the personal property I bring with me.
 
I understand that all donations processed by Hike2Help  are non-refundable and non-transferable even if I don't participate in the event.
 
I authorize Hike2help to charge my credit card a one time registration fee of $36.

I understand that my name, photograph, voice or likeness may be used by hike2help and their sponsors, beneficiaries, licensees, affiliates and employees. I consent to and authorize, in advance, such use and waive all rights of privacy I have in connection therewith. And I understand that I will not benefit financially from any use thereof.
