Having a child get sick is no fun as a parent. But, it is even more difficult when it is a chronic illness or pediatric cancer. This is why Chai Lifeline and Camp Simcha has a special place in my heart and within my famiy. My son Sam is one of many children who have a chronic illness/pediatric cancer and have been embraced by Chai Lifeline during some of the most difficult moments of our lives. Sam has a rare genetic disease called Familial Dysautonomia and was the 637th child ever diagnosed in the world. Each day we wake up, hoping that Sam will be ok and will have good day.  It takes a village and it is a comfort to know that we are not alone as the amazing angels of Chai Lifeline and Camp Simcha have been there with us, taking care of Sam as well as our family.

In the last year, Chai Lifeline provided critical support to more children with life-threatening and lifelong illnesses than ever before - a 15% year-over-year increase. The need for essential programs and services in our community is growing at a rapid pace. And for these 24 hours, all donations will be doubled. Please make a donation today. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Love,

The Sernovitz Family
