This past week, eight years ago, our son, Chaim Meir was diagnosed with a reoccurence of his osteosarcoma. It was almost 5 years to the day since he was first diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his leg and it had now reappeared in both of his lungs. Baruch Hashem, Chaim Meir is married for almost 2 years to his wonderful wife Batya and living in Ramat Eshkol, Yerushalayim. We can never forget what he went through and what we went through with him. We will never forget what Chai Lifeline did for us throughout all of those years. There was an open ear to listen to our problems and needs. There were open arms when we needed a hug to stem our tears and share our joys. There was an open mouth when we needed advice or chizuk or someone to speak for us. And yes, there was an open wallet when we needed financial help. We all know and hope and daven that hashem will soon do away with sickness and disease but until we are zoche to that time we must do what we can to help Chai Lifeline through their difficult financial times. We are now in Adar, the month of extra simcha. May we be zoche to have it continue this way from now on.
