CMY was founded 50 years ago by our father/grandfather Reb Yecheskel Shraga Gotterher a"h as an all volunteer organization to help large needy families in Yerushalayim with food for Shabbos and Yom Tov.

We have since then expanded many time over and families can now either receive coupons to purchase food, or they can pick up food packages for Shabbos.

These packages contain items such as fish, oil, sugar, fruits, vegetables, baby formula, candles and many more essential food items for the family.

In addition, there are much larger distributions to hundreds of families before Pesach and Rosh Hashanah.

With your generosity, Chevra Mezonos is able to provide hundreds of families with basic food staples Erev Shabbos and Yom Tov.

Due to increased costs of food products and a growing number of large families dependant on our help, we set our goals on increasing the size of the weekly packages that are being destributed and to increase the amount of families receiving them. Help us - help them
